Üsküdar University is awarded with the best research and best clinical study awards



Üsküdar University Institute of Social Sciences, Head of Clinical Psychology Department Assoc. Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Head of Software Engineering Department Assoc. Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel received two awards altogether at the 8th International Society of Interpersonal Psychotherapy Congress.

The 8th Congress of the International Conference on Interpersonal Psychotherapy, is held once in every two years and this year it was held between 6-9 November 2019 in Hungary.

10 researches were submitted

Assoc. Dr. Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Dr. Hüseyin Ünübol coordinated 10 researches that were conducted within Üsküdar University Clinical Psychology Master and Psychology Doctoral Programs between 2018-2019 and the researches were presented at the Congress by psychology doctoral program students and faculty members.



The best research poster award…

Assoc. Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel and Assoc. Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar are awarded with best research poster award on their researches on “The use of artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies in psychotherapy”.

The best clinical study award…

Nebile Topcu, Banu Bostancı and Gökben Hızlı Sayar received the best clinical study award on “relationship between fear of giving birth and harmony of spouses in marriage”.

Psychotherapy training was discussed

In the congress where participants from 29 countries came together, the future researches were discussed, as well as the issues to be conducted in order to provide better psychotherapy in different parts of the world and ideas for providing the most suitable conditions for psychotherapist training were also discussed.



Üsküdar University academicians had their photos taken with their awards after the Congress.
