International collaboration between Üsküdar University and SOAS University of London
A collaboration protocol has been signed between the Department of History in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Üsküdar University and SOAS University of London (School of Oriental and African Studies), one of the world’s most prestigious higher education institutions. As part of this collaboration, an academic partnership has been established with SOAS GLOCAL, which operates under the umbrella of SOAS.

The History Department has become an affiliate partner of SOAS GLOCAL
As part of the agreement, an academic partnership was established between the History Department at Üsküdar University and SOAS GLOCAL (The Global Council for Anthropological Linguistics), an international academic network operating within SOAS.
With this agreement, the History Department has become one of the affiliate partners of SOAS GLOCAL.

Commenting on the collaboration, Asst. Prof. Uygar Aydemir from the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Üsküdar University, stated that “We gladly accepted the offer of affiliate partnership from SOAS GLOCAL. I believe this partnership will be productive for both institutions, and we are very excited about potential projects that will enhance the international visibility of both our department and our university.”
What does SOAS GLOCAL do?
SOAS GLOCAL aims to bring together academics, researchers, and institutions working in the field of linguistic and cultural anthropology to support interdisciplinary research on the relationship between culture and language, and to encourage global collaborations in this field.
Additionally, the organization contributes to research exploring the cultural, social, and political functions of language through conferences, publications, research projects, and academic networking events.
