Equivalency Certificate (YÖK)

The Equivalency Certificate (Denklik) is an official document issued by Turkish authorities confirming that an international student’s high school diploma is equivalent to the Turkish education system. The University may request these documents from you if necessary.

How to Apply

Required Documents

  • Application form
  • Valid passport (original & copy)
  • Residence permit or education visa (for foreign students)

Graduates:

  • Apostilled high school diploma and transcript

Non-Graduates:

  • Latest report card or transcript

Online / distance education diplomas are not accepted for equivalency.

Where to Apply

  • Outside Türkiye: Turkish Embassies
  • In Türkiye: Provincial Directorates of the Ministry of National Education

Online Application & Appointment

Students must book an appointment through the e-Denklik system, upload the required documents online, and present the originals at the appointment.

Important Notes

  • Obtaining the Equivalency Certificate is the student’s responsibility.
  • Diplomas must be apostilled or officially approved by relevant authorities.
  • Original documents may be retained during evaluation; students should request a submission receipt.
